Does Envita Do Clinical Trials?
Envita has done clinical trials in the past but does not do clinical trials currently, due to several reasons. Dr. Dino Prato and Dr. John Oertle discuss how clinical trials are important for the discovery of a new drug, but at Envita Medical Centers and Center of Excellence, the focus is not on one single therapy, drug, or treatment. The world class integrative center for precision oncology aims to enhance treatment options for cancer patients by utilizing cutting-edge combination treatments, which include immunotherapy, proprietary interventional radiology procedures, genetically targeted chemo agents, and integrative adjuvants. We aim to provide a greater selection of treatments based on each patient's genomics, as opposed to putting all our efforts and hopes into a single drug to produce a response to care.
Disclaimer: Individual results will vary. Envita makes no guarantees for outcomes. Each patient case is unique. Please consult your doctor before making any changes to your medical treatment. Not every patient is a candidate for care or achieves these results. Treatments used in this case may not all be FDA approved for the treatment of this condition.
Clinical trials are regarded as the gold standard in evaluating the effectiveness of new pharmaceutical drugs and therapies, but clinical trials are not the solution for everyone, which is why cancer patients should approach clinical trials with caution. At Envita, we work towards providing a revolutionary treatment plan by going beyond the limitations of large sample clinical trials that have a rigid framework of who can or cannot qualify for them. While clinical trials can be good, they involve a single-plan treatment process, and we do not want to put our patients on one treatment and see whether they fail or succeed. Instead, we utilize a multi-pronged precision oncology plan based on the n-of-1 clinical trial model. This single-subject treatment method is designed to precisely target the unique set of factors influencing the growth and spread of cancer in your body, while reactivating your immune system to create a response to care.
Combining Benefits of Latest Clinical Trial Drugs
In this uniquely advanced precision care approach, we utilize our advanced algorithms which have been developed over the course of two decades in helping late-stage cancer patients respond to care. Our proprietary precision testing guides us to the most suitable agents for treating each patient's cancer and its microenvironment to help with their holistic recovery. With our location in Arizona, we also take advantage of the expanded right to try law to utilize the latest in conventional medicine, including drugs and therapies that are still in the clinical trial phase, and combine them with precision genomic chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and integrative agents. These powerful combinations are designed to take cancer care to the next level, by helping in improving your quality of life, increasing longevity, and reducing toxicities and side effects, typically associated with standard oncology treatments.
Experience in Immunotherapy Clinical Trials
Our cutting-edge immunotherapies also include cancer cell vaccines, as we have been working with Natural Killer cells since the early 2000s when it was discovered how Natural Killer cells can play a crucial role, especially in treating late-stage cancer patients. In 2008, Envita was one of the first integrative centers to receive FDA approval for a phase 1 clinical drug trial of our Natural Killer Vaccines. However, the FDA did not allow us to charge patients for the cost of care required to run this trial. Despite this limitation, we ran the massively expensive trial at no profit, covering only the cost of care. Running such a trial without being able to charge patients would lead us to rely on investment dollars and ultimately become a pharmaceutical company, which was never our goal. Our goal was always to be a world-leading cancer treatment facility, so we moved the Natural Killer Vaccine work to Hermosillo, Mexico, about a year into the trial.
Our Mexico lab has liberal laws for cellular biologics, which allows us to work with freedom and expand into dendritic cell therapy as well. Our US team runs the lab in Mexico, which ensures that it follows the highest level of quality and the same standard operating procedures for quality assurance as our Arizona treatment center.
Precision-Targeted Patient Care
Our innovative treatment plans, which may include precision treatments deployed at our Scottsdale, Arizona facility, as well as our Hermosillo, Mexico facility, aim to strike at the root causes of your cancer with the goal of helping you progress towards long-term remission. At Envita, many patients with advanced cancers and extensive metastatic spread have experienced successful recoveries, despite failing to respond to care in other cancer centers across the country.
Our team of specially trained team of healthcare providers, including oncologists, interventional radiologists, researchers, and pharmacists, works together to provide an innovative approach to cancer treatment. Through rigorous training, they have mastered our unique personalized precision oncology approach. By integrating cutting-edge research-based naturopathic and conventional therapies, we aim to take patient care to the next level.
