Lyme Disease Survivor - Payson's Envita Review
After a decade of unsuccessful treatments for his persistent joint pain, fibromyalgia, brain fog, and other concerning symptoms, Payson had lost hope of ever finding the right treatment for his Lyme disease. Without proper diagnosis and treatment, this tickborne infection can be debilitating, severely impacting your quality of life. “Even when I came down for the initial consult and testing, I was skeptical and thought it must be too good to be true,” said Payson Peterson, who traveled from Colorado to Envita Medical Centers, a center of excellence for Lyme disease treatment, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Undiagnosed Lyme for Years
“I tried many different things ... and was really degrading for the most part,” said Payson. Conventional doctors could not even diagnose his Lyme disease for many years, which explains why his treatments remained ineffective. “Undiagnosed for years, and then I did get a Lyme-type diagnosis, but treatment really wasn't that effective,” added Payson.
Proprietary Treatments to Effectively Treat Lyme Disease
At Envita, we have several proprietary treatments like IRAD (Insulin Receptor Antibiotic Delivery), which are especially beneficial for patients like Payson, who start experiencing neurological symptoms of Lyme disease, such as brain fog. When the bacteria, causing Lyme disease, penetrates through the blood brain barrier to impact the central nervous system, oral antibiotics may no longer be effective.
However, IRAD is deployed intravenously to help shuttle the delivery of personalized medications and antibiotics past the blood brain barrier and into the central nervous system. Our personalized medications are aimed at precision-targeting not just the Lyme disease causing bacteria, but several other associated coinfections, like Bartonellosis and Ehrlichiosis, which were contributing to the infectious load in Payson's case. “I think it's the encompassing approach that they take in having the right people and the right tools,” said Payson, while reiterating what worked for him at Envita.
Confidence in Lyme Literate Doctors
Conventional doctors often do not have the experience in dealing with Lyme disease and its associated coinfections, which is why patients do not receive adequate treatment and feel lost in standard hospitals and clinics. “Some doctors could not make sense of my symptoms,” said Payson, as he felt reassured during his consultations with our Lyme Literate doctors, who could comprehend the reason behind his symptoms.
His Envita Connection
Payson was grappling with the various symptoms of Lyme disease and its associated coinfections, when a parishioner at his local church found out about Envita while searching for treatment options for another patient who was dealing with similar symptoms in their community. Hearing about her response to treatments at Envita, encouraged Payson and his wife to take the first step towards Envita and today the skeptic is happy about his decision to get treated here. “It's more of a hands-on approach, and a one-on-one approach,” said an emotional Payson, highlighting Envita's uniqueness over other standard facilities.
