Lyme Disease Treatment - Jordan's Envita Review

Despite being actively treated for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for three years, Jordan's symptoms had been deteriorating rapidly as the underlying cause of this autoimmune disease remained untreated. “I went from being completely fine one day to all of a sudden not being able to walk,” said Jordan Murray, who traveled from Canada to Envita Medical Centers, a Center of Excellence in Lyme Disease treatment, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Lesser-Known Fact
“Lyme disease was not in my radar at all,” said Jordan, who was diagnosed with MS at the age of 29, but did not improve till his underlying Lyme disease was finally treated at the age of 32. MS is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS), leading to various neurological symptoms as well as extreme fatigue, which may impact the patient's mobility. However, even patients with Lyme disease may experience similar symptoms, depending on the severity of the disease.
Lyme disease is a tick-borne infection, caused by the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi, and it typically manifests symptoms, such as, joint pain and fatigue, but patients may manifest neurological symptoms, like Jordan, if the bacteria breach the blood brain barrier. “The brain fog was scary,” said Jordan, claiming that those three years seem to have been wiped out of his life. He would experience severe fatigue, making it difficult for him to remain awake even while driving or working.
Detailed Deep Dive with Experienced Physicians
It was not until he came to Envita that the true underlying cause of his symptoms were diagnosed. “After they went through every symptom and everything that I had gone through in my life, they pointed out some things that weren't related to MS,” said Jordan, referring to his first consultation with our doctors. He felt grateful for the detailed conversation with the team of doctors at Envita, because that led to the identification of the real underlying cause of his symptoms, which was further corroborated by other specialty tests.
At Envita, our doctors have been treating numerous patients with Lyme disease and in their clinical experience of over two decades, they have been able to help many patients who were tired of going from one specialist to another, without experiencing any relief in symptoms. “Cookie cutter doesn't work where you need custom, and if you don't fall into a certain box, you can be left on the outside,” said Jordan, reflecting the helplessness of patients like him.
Envita's Personalized Proprietary Treatments
However, at Envita, our doctors have been specially trained to custom develop unique treatment protocols for each individual patient, based on the underlying causes of their diseases. Once the underlying causes of the diseases are determined through various specialty tests, our doctors deploy personalized treatments, like IRAD™ (Insulin Receptor Antibiotic Delivery), which proved extremely beneficial for Jordan. IRAD™ is designed to shuffle personalized combination medications across the blood brain barrier to not just strike at the Lyme causing bacteria but other associated pathogens as well, which may be responsible for causing coinfections and secondary infections. Our unique approach is aimed at helping every patient experience lasting results, just like Jodan's.
His Envita Connection
It has been seven years since Jordan got treated, and he feels very fortunate to have been guided towards Envita by one of our former patients, whom he knew professionally. “I knew of Envita from her story and a few other friends that have had successful treatments, mainly for cancer. I knew they specialized in cancer and Lyme, but I just didn't lump MS with anything to do with that,” said Jordan, who used to be oblivious of the fact that the symptoms of Lyme disease may resemble this autoimmune condition. Now that he knows about this connection, he wishes every patient like him to emulate his recovery route. “I went from almost not being able to walk... to hiking the Grand Canyon... in a period of eight weeks,” he added jubilantly.
