Amelia's Lyme story started when she was only five years old. At that young age she was bitten by a tick and experienced no noticeable symptoms besides swelling on the back of her neck; however, from then on things would only get worse for Amelia and her family. For more than half her life she struggled with Lyme and its debilitating symptoms before coming to Envita. This brave young lady was plagued by sickness and migraines before she even finished her first year of school and, because of a depleted immune system, she was constantly getting sick. She even had to undergo surgery to relieve a severe sinus infection. Amelia's health got even worse after she contracted mono, her joint pain got so bad that she could no longer attend school. Amelia was being robbed of her young life. Her joint pain progressed to the point where she could no longer walk on her own; she was unable to live and have fun as any normal child should.

At this time, doctors began to suspect that Amelia may have Lyme disease, but they were unable to detect the bacteria and their treatments were ineffective against her advanced stage of the disease. Luckily her father was able to find Envita Medical Centers and, though they were skeptical at first, Envita's sincerity and passion won the family over and began Amelia's path to recovery. It was not long before Amelia was progressing, able to walk to the bathroom on her own for the first time in months after only one treatment, and she started to believe a better life was on the horizon.
